- Verse 5 states that the 144,000 will be blameless. How can that be true if they are human? What makes a person blameless? Are you blameless? How do you know?
- How does the proclamation of the three angels show the grace and mercy of God? Why do you think the Lord gave the unrepentant people of the earth one last opportunity to repent, especially after so many other chances to repent?
- Do you believe in Heaven? Do you believe in Hell? Why is it necessary to believe in Hell if you believe in Heaven?
- What does Hell look like according to these verses? How does it compare to the cartoonish ideas we might have in our heads? Why should we take Hell seriously?
- Throughout the Bible, it is shown that God is love, so how can He allow the creatures that are made in His image to suffer for the rest of eternity in Hell? How might you try to explain this to an unbeliever?
- Compare verses 11 and 13. What point is John trying to make in this passage? How will you have hope and endure if this time comes in your lifetime?
