  1. What things can you give thanks to the Lord from the past twenty-four hours? Last week? Last year? Why do we often fail to be thankful? How is thanksgiving a sign of spiritual growth?
  2. What are some of the wondrous deeds God has done in your life? What are some of the wondrous deeds God has done since creation? How have these impacted your life?
  3. What does it mean for the Lord to judge with equity? How is this different from worldly judgment?
  4. How does the Bible explain the way God keeps all things working together? Consider what Paul says in Colossians 1:15–20.
  5. The word Selah is often used as a pause or a time of reflection. As you reflect on God's judgment, blessings, mercy, etc., what does He bring to your mind? How should you respond from this time of reflection?
  6. What are some of the dangers of boasting? What should a believer boast about? What are some things we boast about that point to ourselves rather than God? Why are we tempted to boast about these things?
