  1. Compare the situation the Psalmist is in with the inward thoughts and desires of his heart? Do these line up? Why or why not?
  2. How can v.5 be encouraging to believers in Jesus? Explain your answer and how this could affect your spiritual life.
  3. v.28 states "Let them be blotted out of the book of the living" (ESV), what do you make of the Psalmist praying to God to damn people? Is this too harsh? Why or why not?
  4. How can v.29-36 give us a "blueprint" of how we are to handle affliction? Explain your conclusion.
  5. According to v.31 what pleases God more than an offering? What can this explain about our spiritual life today?
