  1. Read v.4 aloud, What is the implication of this? Am I allowed to get rich and wealthy because it is "my plan" (ESV)? Can you explain the difference between "my plan" and the plan of the Lord?
  2. After reading this Psalm, what is the context of it? Who do you think this praise is directed towards? How can this affect our view of praise?
  3. What does David mean in v.7 when he talks about what some men trust and what "we" trust? What do you think "Chariots" and "Horses" represent? What point is he trying to make here?
  4. Where do you often find yourself turning to in times of trouble? Do you turn to your spouse? Friend? Parent? Honestly, where would the Lord be on your list of people you turn to?
  5. What is the importance of the Lord saving with "His mighty right hand"? What does David mean?
  6. What are some of the repeated words throughout the Psalm? Why is this important?
  7. In v.8 why do God's people "rise and stand upright"? Can you name some other stories of scripture where this is true?
  8. Is it hard for you to believe the Lord will save you from trouble? Why or why not?
  9. Does the "salvation of the Lord" look different then what is the "World's Salvation" looks like? Explain some of the key differences
  10. How should this Psalm change our mindset when encouraging other believers in the midst of trouble? How would you incorporate this Psalm to do that?
