  1. What is the biblical definition of the word 'bless'? Look up specific verse that use the word 'bless' throughout the bible. How should this change our view of the word?
  2. Why does David implore his soul to bless the Lord? What importance does the soul have on human worship?
  3. David shares the Lord's benefits in v.3-5, which of the benefits stick out to you? Why?
  4. V.6-14 are some of the richest Gospel saturated verses in all of the Old Testament. How do these specific verses encourage you in your walk?
  5. Say you're in your bible study and a brother/sister shares how they have been extremely weary in their walk recently. It's a struggle to read their bible, virtually impossible to pray and then they express that they "can't remember the last time they had joy in the prescience of the Lord". How could you use this Psalm to comfort this person?
  6. V. 14 states "For he knows our frame, he remembers that we are dust" (ESV). Why is this encouraging that the Lord remembers we are dust?
  7. Do you struggle with "blessing God"? Is it difficult to see the wonderful things David describes of the Lord in your own life? Why or why not?
