Discussion Questions for Proverbs, Chapter 18

1. Proverbs 18:1 talks about a person isolating themselves seeking their own desires. How can isolation impact our perspective and decision-making? How can you ward off isolation this week?
2. Discuss the significance of verse 4, which mentions that words are like deep waters. Reflect on that idea. What ways do rivers and fountains mirror the words we speak? How can our words have profound effects, and how can we use them wisely?
3. In verse 8, it mentions the words of a gossip being like choice food (CSB). How can we avoid gossip in our lives? How might this verse be connected to verse 20?
4. In verse 10, it mentions the name of the Lord being a strong tower. Reflect on the word "name." How does God's name (Yahweh or I AM) provide strength and security like a tower in your lives?
