  1. In verse 1 it says, "Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming." How can God be known as loving and forgiving if he is introduced like this.
  2. All through out the first 11 verses imargery of fire is used. What is this a metaphore for and is this kind of description accurate
  3. How does this passages tone flip in verse 12-13 and what does this tell us about the nature of God.
  4. How can we find comfort in the fact that God is harsh to the non repentent, but is always willing to forgive us.
  5. How does God lay out the process of repentence and what does it say his response will be.
  6. What does verse 18 mean when it says the lord was jealous for his land, and does anyone have a different translation.
  7. What are some of the ways God provides for his people in this passage. How has God provided for you.
  8. In verse 21 it says, "Do not be afraid, land of Judah; be glad and rejoice." What are some parts of your life you need to trust God in, and just rejoice for where you are.
  9. In 25-26 it says the people will be repaid for the damage the locusts did. Why did God put them through that suffering in the first place if he was going to end up repaying them.
  10. What doe the last verse say about God, and How can we find comfort in that truth.
