1. Why is it that Zedekiah never seemed to listen to or obey God's Word from Jeremiah? How do you receive God's Word from different speakers?
2. What did Irijah accuse Jeremiah of? Why did he accuse him? What can you do about false accusations?
3. Why do you think Jeremiah went to secure his property? What do you do to protect your property? Why does property need to be protected and secured? What are some possible consequences for not adequately securing your property? How common is it for property to be stolen, damaged, or misappropriated?
4. Why did the Chaldeans retreat from Jerusalem? Did it turn out to be a long retreat or a short one? How fast or how slow can circumstances change in our lives? What about geo-political changes...can we control them?

9. What was Jeremiah's daily diet? Why is it that sometimes God has us in difficult circumstances? One recent missionary serving in a war torn part of Somalia said it was the closest place to hell he has ever seen: why would God send someone to such a God-forsaken place?
