Discussion Questions for Isaiah, Chapter 6
- How are the seraphim described? Why did even they cover their faces before the Lord in worship?
- What does it mean to be holy? How has God revealed His holiness to His people?
- The whole earth is to be filled with God's glory! How would you describe the whole earth as being a sanctuary of worship to God?
- Vs. 5 is the first time we see Isaiah speak his own words. Why is he overwhelmed by the sight of God?
- How does Isaiah's woe of confession contrast with the worship of the seraphim?
- How does God respond to Isaiah's confession? What did coal represent in that day?
- How soon after was Isaiah's sin atoned for? How can you apply the swift and immediate atonement to your own life?
