  1. Look back at a couple chapters leading up to chapter 24. Those chapters deal with specific nations - how is that different from the subject of chapter 24?
  2. Why would verse 2 single out the fact the elite and note that they will experience judgment as well? What does this teach us about the nature of humans of different social class?
  3. Verse 2 shows all groups of people being equally judged. Are there examples today where we sometimes wrongly think that certain groups are above judgment?
  4. Verse 2 tells us that even the priests will be judged. What can this teach us about the nature of leadership today?
  5. In this passage, God says he will empty the entire earth. What do you think this refers to? Is it historical or still future? Is it literal or figurative?
