  1. Why are all the tribes given the same amount of land? In what ways are all Christians given the same? In what areas of your life do you struggle with pride and think you are better than others based on a talent or something you have?
  2. How does the end of the book make you feel?
  3. How does Ezekiel's vision of the temple in chapters 40-48 fit in with the rest of the book? If you were writing Ezekiel, how would you change the ending?
  4. The book ends with “The Lord is There.” (NIV). How does this compare with Ezekiel 10:18-19? When are times you forget the Lord is present?
  5. How would the Israelites in captivity be comforted by the Lord’s commandment to give each tribe a portion of land? Share a time where you feld abandoned or forgotten by God.
  6. When people come into your house do they get a sense that “The Lord is There?” Why?
  7. What are the blessings that come along with having the Lord present in your life?
  8. The Lord’s presence in Ezekiel’s vision comes after the people are cleansed from their sins and their enemies are defeated. How has God cleansed your sin and defeated your enemies?
  9. Jerusalem literally means “city of peace.” Has there been much peace over the past centuries in Jerusalem? Why is it not considered a city of peace? In Ezekiel's vision, the future capital is not called Jerusalem, but “The Lord is There.” What are the differences between modern Jerusalem and this future capital (whether literal or figurative)? How can you help bring peace to the earth?
