- As image bearers and name bearers of Yahweh, why do you think it was important for the people to not cut themselves or make themselves bald? What would a modern version of this look like?

- Why did the Lord choose Israel as his possession? Why did he choose you?
- In Acts 10:9-11:18, Jesus seemingly retracts the command given in Deuteronomy 14:3-21. Why do you think this is?
- Why do you think the Lord makes a distinction between clean and unclean animals?
- What is meant by "Do not boil a young goat in its mother's milk" in verse 21? What timeless principle can we learn from this?
- What is the significance of setting aside a tenth of all the produce grown in a year? Why not an eighth or a twentieth?
- The Israelites were commanded to take their tithes and eat them in fellowship with the Lord. Why would God want a feast instead of a burnt offering in this case? How does that affect your view of your own gifts to the church today?
