1. Why do you think in verse 1 things must get worse before they get better? What is the benefit of Daniel mentioning this for people in his own day and people today?
2. What do you think is meant by names being written in a book in verse 1? What other passages could you use to explain this?
3. Why are both the righteous and the wicked resurrected in verse 2? Is this similar or different to what our culture generally thinks about what happens after death? Explain why.
4. How does verse 3 describe the beauty of the wise? Is this how we normally think about wisdom? How could we think more like Daniel in this respect?
