Chapter Summary

Holy Spirit forbids Paul to go to Jerusalem. Paul goes to Jerusalem. Paul takes a Jewish vow. Seized in the temple by the Jews and bound with chains.

In what ways does the Spirit speak through you? What evidence do we have that the Spirit is speaking through us?
Paul receives lodging from Philip who was appointed as one of the seven in Acts 6. How is Philip fulfilling his duty in Acts 21? In what ways do we assist other believers to grow the Kingdom of God?
How have faithful brothers in Christ attempted to dissuade you from a making a particular decision? Have you ever rejected the advice of fellow brother? If so, what was the outcome for you?
Verse 17 says the brothers received them gladly. Do you receive other followers of Christ gladly? What reasons call us to keep other believers at arms length?
In what ways can we celebrate what God is doing in the lives of other believers? What is something you see God doing in the life of someone in your group. Share something you can celebrate that God is doing in your life.
How can we seek purity? In what ways can we aid fellow believers in seeking purity?
The Jews and Gentiles often disagree on the law. How do we practice the freedom we have in Christ? In what ways do we honor and obey the law? How do we guard from legalism?
Are you tempted to reject the work of a fellow believer because they do things differently? How can you cultivate a heart of unity with other believers?
How have people "stirred up" disunity in your life? How have you responded in such situations?
How does Paul facilitate peace among the rioting crowds? How can you be a peacemaker?
