Holy Spirit forbids Paul to go to Jerusalem. Paul goes to Jerusalem. Paul takes a Jewish vow. Seized in the temple by the Jews and bound with chains.

  1. In what ways does the Spirit speak through you? What evidence do we have that the Spirit is speaking through us?
  2. Paul receives lodging from Philip who was appointed as one of the seven in Acts 6. How is Philip fulfilling his duty in Acts 21? In what ways do we assist other believers to grow the Kingdom of God?
  3. How have faithful brothers in Christ attempted to dissuade you from a making a particular decision? Have you ever rejected the advice of fellow brother? If so, what was the outcome for you?
  4. Verse 17 says the brothers received them gladly. Do you receive other followers of Christ gladly? What reasons call us to keep other believers at arms length?
