  1. The temple was built on Mount Moriah. Why is this a significant place for the temple to be built? What are some of the connections between the building of the temple, and the other Biblical events that took place in the same location?
  2. The building of the temple is written as though it is King Solomon doing the work, why is it significant that Solomon is the one described as building the temple?
  3. Gold represents wealth, but also purity. Why would God want to remind his people of purity when they entered the temple? What reminds you of God's purity today?
  4. Why is there such a detailed description of the cherubim statues in verses 10 through 13? Why is their positioning within the holy place significant?
  5. Why was there such a display of beauty in the temple's decoration? How would it impact the people of Israel who enter the temple?
