1. King Jehoshaphat came to the King of Israel to ask for help. Have you had a neighbor ask for help in a time of need? How have you responded to them? How can you model a heart that says, "what's mine is yours"?
2. Why is it important to seek counsel before making decisions? Who do you seek counsel from when you are about to make a big decision? What are the negative implications of not seeking wise counsel? When was a time when you received unwise counsel? What as the outcome of that situation?
3. Have you ever been tempted to seek counsel from someone you knew would agree with you or tell you what you wanted to hear? What are the dangers in seeking such counsel?
