  1. How do we "test the spirits to see if they are from God" (verse 1, CSB). How can the Word of God be a part of testing the spirits?
  2. The statement "Jesus Christ has come in the flesh" (verse 2, CSB) describes what attributes of Jesus? Why is it important to believe that Jesus has come in the flesh?
  3. Why would Satan lead a false prophet to mislead people as to who Jesus is? Can a person be saved if they have an incorrect view of Jesus? Why or why not?
  4. In verse 4, who is "the one who is in you" (CSB)? Who is "the one who is in the world" (CSB)? Why should verse 4 be an encouragement to us?
  5. According to verses 5-6, are we from God or the world? What difference do you believe that makes?
